After all of the preparation, meetings, announcements, emails, flyers, conversations, and planning, we can now unequivocally state that CARNIVAL 2011 was a huge success. This is our eighth year, and we have learned so much. We felt that last year we cleared a hurdle and were now on the path to continued success with this huge event. That analysis proved correct. This year’s Carnival was even more successful than last year’s, and of course, last year’s was the best ever up to that point. What a great testament to our amazing community. I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart. One of our goals this year was to draw in bigger crowds, including those from our larger community. That happened, and it was so good to see people we recognized and people we did not recognize enjoying these wonderful Carnival days, and learning about the fantastic community spirit here at SJC.

You’re Invited to a Homecoming Event!
Our 8th annual carnival now known as the Cupertino Carnival is taking place on September 30th, October 1st and 2nd. Starting this year, we would like to invite all alumni to Homecoming Sunday. Join us at 10:30 a.m. on the last day of the carnival, October 2nd, for a continental breakfast at the Parish Community Center. Meet up with former classmates, and speak to former teachers. Just send an email to development@sjcschool.org or call the school office, (408)252-6441, and let us know how many of you are coming. After the breakfast, you can visit more of the current faculty as they staff the silent auction in the Parish Hall. Stick around for the afternoon and watch the SJC staff sing karaoke on the Main Stage. Bring your family and friends and check out your old haunts. We’re even including a special carnival coupon in our Alumni newsletter. If you did not get the newsletter, please let us know your current contact information via our alumni page.

The Cupertino Carnival is around the corner and will be on campus on October 1, 2, and 3. Join us for the three-day festival featuring live music, entertainment, amusement rides, jump houses/inflatables, games for kids of all ages, arts and crafts, a rummage sale, silent auction, a wide variety of food and more. You or your business can sponsor a midway ride, carnival game, food booth, or other need to help us run a fun and exciting carnival. By sponsoring a need, your name or business will be on signage near your sponsored item. In addition, your name or business will be listed on the carnival website. The deadline for Sponsor a Need is 9/22/10.

The St. Joseph of Cupertino Carnival will be held this fall on
October 1, 2 & 3, 2010.
The Carnival attracts thousands from the St. Joseph of Cupertino School, Parish community, Cupertino residents, as well as visitors from neighboring areas. The Carnival features:
The Carnival is three fun-filled days for the entire family which will be held on the St. Joseph of Cupertino grounds. All monies raised from this fun filled event will benefit St. Joseph of Cupertino Parish School.
This is your chance to show your support of the Parish and School as well as your opportunity to advertise your business to the St. Joseph and Cupertino communities!
All sponsors of this event will be promoted in the professionally designed program that will be distributed at the Information Booth of the Carnival throughout the weekend.
