Legacies In Faith and Education (L.I.F.E.) is a program designed to provide the ongoing financial support that is necessary for us to live out our mission. Your participation will help to secure the future success of St. Joseph of Cupertino and our mission to pass on our faith and values. Twice a year, we ask you to consider a financial donation to one or several funds already established within the church and school. Every dollar you donate will benefit the St. Joseph of Cupertino community.

With an average of 20 years of teaching experience at SJC, you can rest assured that our teachers are well prepared to reach all levels of learners from those who need extra help to those who need an extra challenge. The teachers are true life-long learners and they are always working together to integrate the newest curriculum or technology. Learn more about our classrooms.

The academic program is strong and challenging. Our students score in the upper percentiles in standardized testing, do well on high school entrance exams, and are successful in their high school programs. We are WCEA and WASC Accredited through June 2027.
There is a strong focus on technology: A fully equipped, newly upgraded, Computer Lab and three Mobile Computer Labs with MacBooks and MacBook Airs; 1:1 iPad program for all students; SMART interactive boards in 13 classrooms; LCD projectors and document cameras in every classroom; a designated computer teacher for Grades K-8, and a specialized aide who supports teachers in integrating technology into lessons; computer centers in the classrooms and library
We offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities; ranging from music, math, technology, geography, geometry, Student Council, chess, community service projects, and sports.

Visual and performing arts are a large part of educating the whole child at SJC. Students participate in weekly art, music (instrumental and vocal), and dramatic arts classes as part of the grade-level curriculum. We also present our students with continuous opportunities for extracurricular programs in musical theatre, drama, intermediate and advanced band, choir, fashion design, and visual arts.
For the 2022-2023 school year, we have re-engaged our after-school athletic program for our students. As part of the Catholic School's North League, we have formed the following teams for boys and girls enrolled in grades 4-8: flag football, volleyball, soccer, and basketball. We also participate in annual Silicon Valley track and swim meets.
Students in lower elementary grades are given the opportunity to learn about teamwork through our Little HoopStars basketball program.
There are a variety of clubs for students to learn more about a particular skill or talent. Leadership development is achieved through participation in our Student Council program, as they lead daily morning assemblies and all-school events. Our band program is very popular with the students, as well. In addition, we also have robotics, computer coding, yearbook, geometry, chess, geography, music ministry/school choir, and baking. And this year, we'll be participating in The Tech Challenge.
The word catholic means to be all-embracing and looking at the diversity of our students it can be said that we do welcome all. Here is a snapshot of our diversity from the last school year.
Over 75% of our students are Catholic. 48% of the students are male and 52% are female.
We understand the busy life of Silicon Valley professionals and offer both before and after-school extended care for our students. We open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. on the days that school is in session. This service helps our families who work at the numerous tech companies near our campus.
A majority of our graduates continue on to local Catholic high schools: St. Francis High School, Bellarmine College Prep, Archbishop Mitty High School, Presentation High School, and Notre Dame High School.
We are happy to announce the graduates of SJC's Class of 2022 were accepted to their first-choice high school.
Please use the form to get in touch with us or use our contact information to call or email us. We would love to have you visit our campus to see everything first hand.
