Our child has been attending SJC since 2021 and is very happy here. From day 1 our family was embraced by the tight-knit community of parents and faculty who are always willing to help one another. The school is focused on educating the "whole child" and committed to offering a well-rounded education spanning academic excellence, faith, social awareness and physical development. The SJC faculty comprises of long-tenured teachers who are very attentive and care for the personal needs of each student. The after-school clubs are extremely popular and cover a variety of subjects from theater and choir to math and robotics. Principal Packard is very proactive and her open-door policy fosters an inclusive community. I highly recommend SJC to any family living or working in the Cupertino area.

We couldn't be happier with St. Joseph of Cupertino School! We know our son is in an environment where the teachers are truly invested in his education and development as a whole child. The academics are amazing, and we love the array of after school clubs and activities the school offers.
Furthermore, the small class size has been such a blessing! Not only does my son receive more attention in class, but our little class has become a second family. Class family park play dates on the weekends, moms that meet for coffee, dads that play basketball, families that celebrate holidays, and even occasionally vacation together! The sense of community and the families at St. Joseph are just as exceptional as the school. We're so grateful to be a part of the SJC community.
- The Choi Family, Grade 2
We have two kids, one started at preschool, and one started in Kindergarten. We chose this school in the beginning because of the quality of the teachers and the principals; however, we later realized how strong their community is and how much it contributes to the success of the kids and the school.
Hands down to the teachers, they're very caring and pay close attention to your kids. They spend time to understand your children, and to our surprise, one of the teachers could point out to us our daughter's specific personality very clearly and would work with her on a personal level to bring out the positives of that.
The new principal is open to feedback and is proactive in addressing them. For instance, we had questions about how the school's Math education aligns with the high school. She immediately reached out to various Catholic High Schools in the area and ensured the school did the right thing. She addressed our concerns in the school newsletter two weeks later. Another example is that the grass field needs replacement. Instead of fixing it piecemeal, she has engaged the Diocese of San Jose and the school communities to investigate an overall improvement plan for the campus. She has a long-term vision of the school, and most importantly, she spent time talking to parents, understanding their needs, and actively looking for solutions to address them.
Community - there are many clubs/sports/activities/events throughout the year, and you can see the parent volunteers helping out enthusiastically. I was motivated and am also helping a lot for the school. When you are active around the school, not only you're improving the overall quality of the kids' education, you have first-hand experience with how the kids were taught at school, how their school life with other kids is, and most importantly, you set up a role model for them, and that benefit them in the long run. We recommend anyone to join this school because of the teacher's quality, the principal and staff's proactiveness, and the solid school community.

I have two kids at St. Joseph of Cupertino, and we have been here since kindergarten. This school is conveniently located in Cupertino, but as we quickly discovered, the community aspect of this school is incredibly valuable. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate, as room parents, coaches, or just as attendees at school festivities. This has led to many great memories as our kids have grown up.
The teachers are caring and try to give each student personal attention and what they need to succeed.
The school tries to cultivate students that have integrity and responsibility, in a Christian context. Academically, the school prepares the students very well for high school, and they are challenged without being overwhelmed. The mix of clubs, sports, and activities help round out the students.
I highly recommend St Joseph to all parents and students.
- The Hoa Family, Grade 5 and Grade 6
Our five, seven and eight year old children go to St. Joseph Cupertino School in the kindergarten, first and third grades. This is our second year at this school and we could not be happier. The school provides an outstanding well rounded education; the small class sizes are ideal and all of the teachers, the principal and staff truly care about each student. The school offers a number of after schools clubs, such as theater, choir, robotics, chess, math and homework clubs and sports, most of which are free! The principal and teachers are very accessible and they value the input of the parents. We regularly speak to the teachers after school; the teachers have many years of teaching experience. The kids are taught great values and receive great social emotional learning. Our kindergartener and first graders have buddies in eighth and seventh grades whom are so kind and caring to them and whom our kids look up to.
We have never been to a school that fosters such a strong sense of community and family. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed by the other parents, staff and teachers. After a short time, we have made great friends with many of the other parents. We regularly spend time with other families in schools activities and play dates; the kids play and the parents socialize! Most families volunteer in the school because they care so much about the school. We love the school because it is so diverse.
For all prospective and interested families, we strongly recommend St Joseph Cupertino School for your K-8th grader.

Our children have been at SJC for the past year and are very happy to have discovered this gem of a school. The school isn't very visible from Stevens Creek/De Anza so we believe many people are missing out on this great school. For any family that's looking for a new school, Preschool through 8th, you should schedule a visit! The school staff and community are so welcoming, friendly, and caring. Class sizes are small so lots of attention to each student's needs. We love their well-balanced curriculum that educates the whole child -- excellent academics, along with social-emotional learning.
Our kids love their school and are always so excited to get there in the mornings, and often the last ones to leave because they are staying to chat with their friends. We're very excited for another school year and looking forward to all the new extra-curricular activities added.
SJC has truly shown us what is considered an excellent school. Thanks SJC!

SJC has everything we were looking for (and more) in a school:
Our children have competent, caring, and kind teachers who go above and beyond to provide the best educational experience. They instill the magic and awe of learning in their students. Our children are always excited to go to school every day. For my son's all about me poster, he shared that his most favorite place is SJC. That speaks a lot about how the students feel about SJC. It is a product of the hard work and dedication of the SJC administration, teachers, and staff.
During our SJC school tour and orientation, we repeatedly heard "You're going to love the SJC Community." Our family did not know what it was about. As we immersed ourselves in SJC, we learned that the SJC community is your daughter's preschool teacher asking if we needed a jumpstart in the parking lot because we had our car's hood opened; it is the SJC staff who checked on my son's socks and shoe after splashing on a puddle; it is my son's teachers who make my son very excited to go to school every day; it is the SJC parents who care about your children the same way they care for their own; it is the 8th-grade buddies that our son looks up to; it is the group of students waiting patiently every morning to walk their friend to the classroom. Our family feels so blessed to be part of not just an extraordinary school, but a part of the SJC family and community as well. We are beyond grateful that SJC has kept our students safe and healthy as we all do our best to provide a "normal" life to our precious children amid the never-ending challenges of the pandemic.
People say that one of the best things you could give your children is a good education. SJC champions in academic excellence. We are in awe of what our children have learned, how they are able to write in D'Nealian handwriting style, and how they have grown with values and faith. You know you've made the right decision on giving your child the best education when your son in kindergarten repeatedly tells you "I'm going to be in SJC until eighth grade!"

SJC Preschool is a gem. It’s an unbelievable community and program. My almost 5-year-old daughter is in the program this 2022-2023 year. When my older son was in the program a couple of years ago and my daughter wasn’t quite of age yet, she was eager to come experience it herself! I feel so secure and thankful seeing how the preschool, curriculum, and teachers work together to create a thoughtful learning experience that even if you think you’ve been through it before, it is still special day-in and day-out. Mrs. Wilson has been communicative and understanding since day 1 with my son and it hasn’t changed with my daughter. I appreciate the newsletters and even the quick exchanges during pick up/drop off to stay in the loop from her or the other teachers. Whenever I’ve mentioned something that I notice in my daughter’s experience and development, Mrs. Wilson has been attuned and receptive. Mrs. Liu, Mrs. Sullivan, and Mrs. Edem are so kind and interactive with the kids too. I enjoy seeing my daughter thrive academically and socially. I know I’m also becoming a better parent from this program and the main SJC school too.
